Summary: Set after the war of the ring: It is demanded of the King of Gondor to choose an elf slave when he is crowned, although Aragorn doesn't agree with slavery Legolas knows it must be done and offers himself as slave to the king, Aragorn believing that if it is his friend once he is crowned he will not have to treat him as a slave accepts. After the crowning though Legolas must explain to Aragorn that if he does not treat him as a slave then they will both die. Even though he offered himself and wants to keep Aragorn alive Legolas finds it hard to accept his place and Aragorn must punish him even though he doesn't want to.
