He couldn’t do anything but stare at Elrond, his heart pounding almost painfully hard in his chest. The heartbreakingly sad expression upon Elrond’s beautiful face made his heart ache. For so long he had secretly loved his lord, thinking that Elrond would be completely out of his reach, forever. But now, when the elf saw his meleth (love) in pain, he wanted to do something, anything to ease it. Before he realized what he was doing, he stepped closer. Elrond raised his head, wondering who dared to disturb him. Angry words stuck in his throat, when he saw the most beautiful elf in all of Arda in front of him. “What you are doing here?” He asked softly, not daring to believe that this was really happening." ******************************************************************* “I’m sorry for disturbing you like this, My Lord. I just thought…” Lindir couldn’t continue. He felt himself a fool. How in Arda had he thought to be the one to console Imladris’ Lord? What had he to offer to him? Nothing but his unreserved love. Elrond smiled sadly. “You don’t have to be so formal, Lindir. Tonight, I don’t see myself as an Elf-Lord. Couldn’t you, just for once, call me Elrond?” He whispered, turning away. Never had he felt himself so weak as now, and he had to hide it from Lindir. What in Arda was happening to him? “Elrond… I so hope that you are not mad at me. I must admit that I followed you.” Lindir said, fearing that Elrond would send him away if he didn’t give any further explanation. “What do you mean? Why in Arda you would follow me?” Elrond asked, flinching. “Because… my heart ached when I saw your sorrow. I so wanted you to be happy, Elrond.” Lindir said, his heart pounding. Elrond was quiet, for a very long time, thinking how he could be so calm, when he felt his heart torn from his chest. He didn’t want this… pity... from Lindir. But that was all he would ever get, and the knowledge hurt more than he ever thought possible. For so long Elrond had silently loved him, hoping that maybe the sweet minstrel would someday feel something more for him. “I see…well… My sorrow is not your concern, but I thank you for your kindness. Go now, and have a nice evening.” Elrond finally said, and left. One step. And another. And one more. Only a few more, and then he wouldn’t need to hide his tears anymore. Lindir looked at Elrond’s retreating back for a moment before he stirred from his numbness. He had a nauseous feeling that somehow he had succeeded in hurting Elrond, rather than easing his pain. Without thinking, he ran after him. “Saes (please) Elrond! Don’t go… not like this!” “Why? I don’t need your pity, Lindir. Leave me be.” Elrond said quietly, wondering how much more he could take. He needed to be alone, before his calm appearance would shatter into pieces. “I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to hurt you. I would do anything to see you smiling again but obviously I only bother you. I would go now, and hope that you someday could forgive me for my thoughtless behavior.” Lindir whispered, tears in his eyes. How in Arda had he managed to mess up things like that? He heard a surprised gasp behind him, but didn’t stop. That was when Lindir felt a strong arm keeping him back. “Why would you want something like that? “ Elrond asked. He couldn’t understand why his happiness seemed to be so important to Lindir. Was it possible that there was something else than pity, then? Lindir froze. He had revealed himself completely. Elrond was so quick-witted that he would realize his true feelings within seconds. What he would do now? “Lindir? Speak to me, saes.” Elrond’s silent plea finally stirred Lindir from his trance, and he met his Lord’s gaze. “Do you remember, when I had just reached my majority? When I asked your permission to leave and study in Lórien?” Elrond frowned. He remembered full well that incident, but even better what had happened before that… “I do. But what has it to do with tonight?” “It has everything to do with tonight.” Lindir admitted. “The reason why I followed you, why I left to Lórien, why I stayed away almost hundred years, was exactly the same. “ “And what was the reason? Tell me, saes. I see that it is something which still bothers you.” “I will tell you, because I cannot keep it in any longer…. But I ask that you don’t get angry with me. I never intended to reveal this to anyone, especially not to you.” “And why is that? Nothing can be so horrible that you couldn’t tell me, Lindir. I missed you when you were gone, and I admit that I wondered at your leaving, which seemed so sudden. “ Elrond said, leading Lindir to sit on the stone-bench behind them. He had already noticed that whatever the young minstrel intended to tell him, it would take quite a while. “Do you remember that accident, when the Twins brought me to you, wounded by a stray arrow?” “Of course! I was mad at our former captain, when he let his soldiers practice so carelessly.” “So… there I was. You healed me, consoling me, when I cried and feared that I would never be able to play again. I still remember how good it felt to be held like that... but to my astonishment, I noticed my… body begin to stir because of your closeness. I was devastated, fearing that you would find out and banish me from Imladris. But my feelings didn’t fade, even if I returned to health. On the contrary, I found myself falling in love with you more and more . I feared terribly that someone would find out about my feelings. I had to get away, before I would do something stupid. I knew you would never see me as any thing other than an elfling… besides… you were married to another. My only option was to leave.” Lindir explained, blushing furiously. He had never thought to tell anyone about his feelings, and now he had to reveal himself completely… to the only elf he could ever love. He knew that if, or rather, when Elrond would reject him, he would fade. He had been able to live with false hope, but now everything was shattered. His secret, his hope, his whole life. Hot tears began to flow from his eyes. Elrond couldn’t believe his ears. Did Lindir really mean it? That he had been in love with him? And if he had, how did he feel right now? Elrond looked at the young elf, and started; when he noticed him crying. “Don’t cry, sweet Lindir. You’ll break my heart if you do.” Elrond whispered, pulling Lindir into his arms. Warmth and sorrow swelled inside the peredhel, never had he thought that this beautiful elf would return the feelings he had hidden for so long. “I’m sorry, so sorry! I didn’t mean to… burden you like this! You have your own sorrows and I….” Lindir sobbed, against Elrond’s chest. “Shhh… you don’t need to worry. I have you now.” Elrond held Lindir for a long time, thinking silently that Lindir could stay just right here, forever and he would be content with that. When his sobs finally settled, Elrond raised Lindir’s chin, making the elf meet his gaze. “Do you feel any better now?” Elrond asked gently, but still didn’t let Lindir go. “Why you are so good to me?” Lindir was ashamed of his outburst. “Because… I love to hold you close like this. Because you feel so good just where you are right now.” Elrond said softly, wondering if he did the right thing by speaking his feelings out. What if Lindir’s feelings had changed, after all? “I love being in your arms. I love ‘you’.” Lindir finally admitted, trembling in maelstrom of sensations. He never imagined getting so close to his beloved, and this closeness felt heavenly. Was this really Elrond who held him like this, as if he were the most precious thing in all Arda? “And I love you, Lindir nín.” Elrond smiled at him lovingly. Lindir blushed happily, forgetting all his fears. Instinctively he leaned even closer and finally, after a moment’s hesitation, their lips met. Elrond wasn’t sure which one of them had started their kiss, but he couldn’t care less. Lindir’s sweet mouth was soft and tasted better than he ever dreamed possible. He could only wonder at how perfectly Lindir fit into his arms. How beautifully he melted under his touch. Elrond would have given anything to be holding his meleth in his arms, without any barriers between them. Lindir thought that if this were a dream, he would never want to wake up. His dreams had been only pale premonition from the real sensation. Lindir leaned closer and a moan escaped from his lips when Elrond pulled him tightly against him. Lindir felt caressing hands upon his body, and hot tremors ran trough him. Their kiss continued, until Lindir felt all Arda disappearing into a haze of passion. Only Elrond’s intoxicating closeness was left, his hot kisses and caresses which created an almost painful longing within Lindir. When they finally broke the kiss, Elrond chuckled softly, still holding Lindir tightly in his arms. His loneliness and hopeless longing had disappeared in one, fleeting moment. “I’m so happy, Elrond. I never imagined anything like this.” Lindir whispered against Elrond’s lips. “Neither did I, ind nín (my heart). I so wanted you to be mine, forever.” “Take me, then, meleth (love). Let my greatest dream finally become truth.” Elrond didn’t need to be told twice. He lifted Lindir up, and carried him into his chambers. ***************************************************************** Lindir almost trembled with anticipation when Elrond finally lowered him on the bed. Soon he would belong to the only one he loved more than life itself. “Saes, meleth. Do not let me wait anymore.” He pleaded softly, extending his hand to Elrond. His breathing sped up, when Elrond started to undress himself. Lindir could only stare at his soon-to-be-lover when he finally stood in front of him, in all his glory, obviously ready to claim him. Elrond was magnificent! Lindir blushed when his clothes were discarded piece by piece, wondering if Elrond found him attractive enough. Elrond’s gentleness eased his worry, and Lindir smiled shyly when he found Elrond staring at his bared body adoringly. “I can see that this is new to you, aye?” Elrond asked, when he finally climbed beside Lindir. The elf nodded, his cheeks flaming. “I’m untouched. I never wanted to give myself to some casual lover. The only one I have ever wanted is you.” Lindir admitted, blushing even more. Tears of sheer happiness formed into Elrond’s eyes, when he heard Lindir’s admission. Now he finally believed that this sweet, young elf really loved him. “I love you, Lindir nín. Only you, till the end of Arda.” Elrond whispered, leaning closer. Lindir gasped when he felt Elrond’s aroused, powerful body atop him. His body stirred with a quivering force, and Lindir felt he no longer belonged to himself, but to Elrond. Lindir moaned against Elrond’s lips when he finally lowered his head, kissing him. This time there were no rush, no violent need between them. Elrond’s lips and hands explored, Lindir’s burning skin, seducing, inviting him to join into sensual dance, older than the time itself. And little by little Lindir forgot his shyness and fears, begging for more. “How in Arda could I deny you anything?” Elrond murmured, his hands exploring Lindir’s flushed body. Slowly, gently he caressed soft thighs, which opened him so enticingly. Finally, Elrond took Lindir’s arousal in his hand, stroking it gently. He smiled when he heard his own name escaping from Lindir’s lips, and saw his blue eyes darkened with desire. “Oh… Elrond…saes!” Lindir moaned softly, swaying his hips. Elrond’s intimate caresses set a rapidly growing fire within him, which felt almost painful in its intensity. Only faintly Lindir heard Elrond’s loving whispers when he drifted deeper in mindless pleasure. Moaning and trembling he finally reached his peak, releasing himself into eager mouth. For a long time Lindir could just pant, feeling white-hot waves of ecstasy streaming over him. He clung Elrond like a lifeline, until the heat finally faded, leaving him languid and sated into his meleth’s arms. “I love you so, ind nín (my heart).” Elrond whispered, holding Lindir tightly against him and kissing him softly. The young elf felt so good in his arms, still writhing in after waves of his orgasm. “I love you too, meleth (love). Saes, take me now, let me feel your love within me.” Lindir whispered hoarsely. His body was sated for now, but his fëa (soul) demanded more: it graved to join, to be finally one with it’s destined mate. “I will always love you, for so long I have wanted you. Soon, very soon we are one, forever.” Elrond said huskily, reaching the vial of oil. It took all Elrond’s willpower to prepare Lindir with the care and tenderness he deserved. The young elf was so tempting, so utterly arousing, when he begged and whimpered under Elrond’s hands. Lindir felt his need returning rapidly, with a force that almost scared him. He felt so alive, so loved like never before. Lindir’s whole being pulsed with a fierce need to belong to Elrond. He could sense the same fire burning within Elrond, too. And finally, the peredhel captured Lindir’s mouth into searing kiss, beginning to push in. Little by little, Elrond joined their bodies together, making Lindir as his own. Lindir’s cry smothered against Elrond’s lips, as he slowly began to move, loving him in a way like no one had before. Lindir could only cling to Elrond, and beg for more. Elrond’s lips devoured his own, demanding him to surrender, to give him everything. And Lindir did, his soul and body burning with love and rapture. The tension inside Lindir grew, until a blinding wave of pleasure exploded inside him. Through his completion, Lindir could feel the power of Elrond’s orgasm. He cried Elrond’s name brokenly, almost unconscious with the new, overwhelming feelings that swelled inside him. Elrond held trembling Lindir in his arms, trying to soothe the emotional storm that shook him. “Are you all right, meleth? Did I hurt you?” Elrond asked, concerned, still holding Lindir close. “Nay, you didn’t hurt me. This all is just… first that agony… I was sure that you would never return my feelings, and now…” Lindir sobbed incoherently. “Don’t cry, meleth nín. I do love you, and have loved you for a long time. Your feelings were not the only ones that stirred in that day I healed you. But I would have done wrong if I pursued you then. But now everything is different. Nothing or no one can come between us, ever.” Elrond said softly, and finally Lindir’s tears settled. “Sleep now, Lindir nín. And when you wake up, I’ll still be here. And you are just right where you belong; in my arms, in my heart, forever.” “I’m so happy, Elrond. It feels so good to be here.” Lindir smiled wearily. Elrond chuckled. “That’s good to hear. Because you will be in my arms, for rest of our days.” He whispered, kissing Lindir gently. FIN.
