Though the slash genre is already decades old there is no fandom-recognized holiday. It would be beneficial to the community to have a day in recognition of our peculiar fandom, and thus was born...

Sadly, this initiative has been dormant in the LoM for the last couple of years owing to the archiving hiatus, but we hope to revive it now with our friends, our dear readers, authors and artists.
This holiday is a a chance (and an excuse!) to write, illustrate, and send greetings to one other within the community.
Spread the news about the International Day of Slash in your Live Journal, on your personal sites, or anywhere else other slashers might find it. Certainly, the Day of Slash is for all fandoms - so let's inform EVERYONE!
The Library of Moria will be celebrating with a themed update! If you would like your holiday-themed fic or art to be posted on July 1st in recognition of the IDoS, please submit it to: libraryofmoria@gmail.com by June 30th.
Want a quicker and simpler to celebrate the IDos? Make a few recs of your favourite works!

2) Newbie rec (a fic that is less than two years old)
3) An author rec
4) A fandom rec
5) A site rec
