Finding your peace Legolas looked at the sleeping fellowship. They looked all very happy except one person. He looked at the ranger, Aragorn, who was sleeping, but not resting. He walked towards the man, who just snapped his eyed open. Legolas looked the man in the eyes. “Aragorn, you need your rest.” Legolas said to him. Aragorn looked up at the elf and got up from the ground, now he stood face to face with him. “I can not find my peace when we are on this quest” he said. He looked Legolas in the eyes. “And you should know that.” Legolas nodded. “I know, but still you need to rest. You need your strength. We can not have it that you are weak.” The elf said. Aragorn looked at him in fury, “I know that, and I do not need anybody to tell me that. Especially not from an elf, they do not know what sleep is.” Legolas looked at the man and said. “Elves do not need to sleep. You know that.” He said. Aragorn nodded. “I know. But I...” Aragorn stared at the elf and turned around and walked away. Legolas looked at the man who walked away from him. Aragorn was walking through the woods, he was shocked by the feelings he felt for the elf. He finally realised that he loved the prince of Mirkwood. Aragorn let himself drop to the forest ground. “why after all this years, why do I know fall in love with him. It can not be true. We are on a very dangerous quest.” Aragorn thought. Aragorn looked up at the sky. “I can not tell Legolas did, he will not understand it. It shall only smash up our friendship.” Aragorn turned around when he heard footsteps behind him. He knew it would be Legolas, who had followed him. “Leave me alone” Aragorn said. Legolas looked up when he heard the man saying “Leave me alone.” Legolas did not know why he had followed the man, he knew that the man would be alone. “Aragorn, what is wrong?” he asked the man. He did not like that Aragorn had left him, they knew each other for a long time and this was the first time Aragorn had walked away from him. Legolas saw the man sitting on the forest ground, he walked towards him and kneeled beside the man. Aragorn looked up at him. “What do you not understand of Leave me alone?” the man asked the elf. Legolas looked at him. “I just want to know what is burden you.” The elf looked the man straight in the eyes. Aragorn tried to look away from the elf, but Legolas got an hold of his chin. “Aragorn, please tell me, you know you can trust me.” He said. Aragorn pushed Legolas away from him and stood up. “ I said leave me alone, and I meant it. Please get back to the camp. And leave me alone with my burden.” Legolas also stood up and looked at the man, who had never had pushed him away. “If that is truly what you want, then I will leave you alone.” Legolas turned around and walked back from where he came from. Aragorn looked at the elf and thought. “I can never tell you this, my friend, I am sorry for that.” It was a week later and Aragorn tried to avoid Legolas, Legolas let this happen, but was not to pleased with him. Aragorn and he had always been good friends and now something was standing in between of them. Legolas remembered the day they met Aragorn for the first time. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Flashback ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Legolas looked at his father. “ What do you mean by, you have to train somebody.” Thranduil looked at his son. “ Elrond is coming here with a child, well no a man, and you need to train him, you are the best archer here and Elrond want that this man also know how to use a bow.” Legolas looked at his father. “This man, is it an human?” Thranduil nodded. Aragorn looked surprised when he saw some of the Mirkwood elves, the looked different then the ones he had met in Rivendell. One was approaching them. “Welcome Lord Elrond.” The elf said. Aragorn looked at the elf and was amazed by the beauty of this elf, he had long blond hair, tied in a few braids, he had blue eyes, they looked like the sky at an summer morning. He was dressed in green. “Prince Legolas, nice to see you again.” He heard Elrond saying. “So this is the one who shell train me.” Aragorn thought. “ This can be interesting.” Legolas looked at the human. “You are getting better every day” he said to him. Aragorn smiled at him. “I am learning from the best.” He said. Legolas looked at him, “I do not think that you need much more lessons.” He said. Aragorn looked at him. “I all ready thought you would say that.” The two looked at each other. Aragorn looked up at him an nodded. “You all ready knew that?” he asked. The Istari looked at him and smiled. “I could see it in your eyes, hear it in you voice when you were talking about him.” Gandalf said. “I was always surprised that you did not know that, I even think that Legolas knows it.” Aragorn looked surprised, “No he can not know it, if he knew he would tell me.” Aragorn was really surprised by this, did Legolas knew it, before himself knew it. Gandalf looked at the human who was struggling with this news for him. Gandalf said slowly. “I do not think that Legolas was ready for this to talk about. But I really think that the two of you should talk about it. Maybe you will hear something that you did not expected.” That night Aragorn walked towards Legolas. “Legolas we need to talk.” He said to the elf, who looked up to him. Legolas stood up and walked after Aragorn. When they where out of hearing form the others of the fellowship, Aragorn stopped walking. He looked at Legolas, who looked back at him. “Legolas I really do not know how I can tell you this, but I just need to do it.” Aragorn started to talk, he did not longer looked Legolas in the eyes. Legolas looked at the human in front of him and smiled. “You found out that you love me, it took you longer then I expected.” He said. Aragorn blushed and nodded. Legolas took an hold of Aragorn’s chin. “You do not have to feel embarrassed by this. I all ready knew this, I found out a couple of years ago.” Aragorn looked at him, and looked straight into Legolas eyes. Aragorn could not help himself by staring at these eyes. He did not hear what Legolas was telling him, but at one point he thought he heard something interesting. “What did you say?” Aragorn said. Legolas looked at the man and smiled. “I said that I was surprised when I found out that you had feelings for me, because I have loved you from the first time I saw you.” The elf smiled when he saw the surprise on Aragorn’s face. “You mean, you have feelings for me?” Aragorn was really surprised by this. Legolas did not answer him, but took one step and kissed the man soft on his lips. Aragorn returned the kiss and opened his mouth. Legolas let him tongue slip into the man’s welcoming mouth, their tongues fought a battle neither of them was willing to lose.
