I watched. I watched him fall in lust with Aragorn and I watched him 
fall in love with Aragorn. I watched him laugh, mourn, love and hate. 
I watched emotion flicker across his face. I watched as he did 
everything he could to ease the burdens of his companions. I watched 
as he fought the evil in the world and I watched as he fought the 
temptation of the ring. I watched everything he did, everything he 
was. And as I watched him I missed myself falling in love with him.


I am 3000 years old, young for an elf but old enough to understand a 
little about the world, and a little about myself. I knew that no 
matter how much I loved him I would never tell him. He was in love 
with Aragorn and I would do nothing to jeopardize his happiness.
