Lhasbelin o Uir (2/?) ***************************************************************** It had been a week since the evening of the Elven-Lords arrival, and the group of friend's had seen others like it almost every evening following. Legolas had spent most of his time with his father and brother, the twins almost constantly by his side as well. The day of Aragorn's wedding had come and all were gathered in the places Elrond had given them. The Lore-Master was more determined to make sure Arwen remembered this day as a day of family rather than of such a political matter. Of course, this meant that even Thranduil stayed out of Elrond's way. The ceremony was held twice, once for public display, and again for just the immediate friends. Though the city celebrated on a larger scale, Aragorn and Arwen remained to celebrate with the gathered. Gifts were presented from each land, and accepted gracefully. It was past dawn before anyone was tired enough to return to their rooms. Aragorn would need to make formal announcements at noon. **************** Two days later, the dawn found Legolas and the twins in Aragorn's stables. Legolas' arm had healed quickly, Elrond confirming that it was not a complete break and easily healed. The younger blonde now used his healed arm to brush Arod, Eomer having gifted the horse to Legolas earlier. The twins were caring for their own mounts as well, preparing for their planned trip. Elladan's white steed, Celnen, let his master secure the bags they needed. Elrohir's, Talagand, stamped impatiently when the younger twin went to find some of the carrots the horsemaster was known to keep around. They had planned to find their places in Middle-Earth, exploring and searching for more peaceful adventures. Their sires had agreed to their leaving, and the twins were eager to show Legolas all that they had seen. Farewells had been said the night before, and Gimli promising to start his own search for Legolas once his work was done. Elladan mounted his black-blue steed and turned to his brother and bonded. "Are we ready?" Elrohir jumped onto Talagand lightly and nodded. Legolas was the last to mount and the three began their journey. One last look to the White City, and the three were off. ***************************************************************** PART TWO ************************ Fornost was a quickly diminishing city, many of the Men already going south to Gondor. Little more than an echo of what it once was, the city still stood and was lived in by those that wished to maintain some outpost in the north. While many of the houses had been torn down or rebuilt to create larger homes for the dwindling number of inhabitants. The inn was a main stop, the tavern on it's ground level was a place to find news or work. The news circulating around the town this time was that the twin sons of Lord Elrond had returned, with another in their company. Though the names of Elladan and Elrohir were well known in the cities and encampments of the Dunedain, the new Elf had the name Taurmil as far as most had hear, though yet others heard the name Mallsil. In any case, all had seen the familiar twins keep their companion protectively and possessively close. Since an unwelcomed incident a few days after their arrival, the three had taken to having their meals in their room. The barkeep had little time to muse as a new customer entered, obviously a Dwarf. "An ale," was the gruff order. "And a room for the night." The keeper nodded and fetched the ale, laying a key alonside the mug. He pulled out a thik registry and asked the Dwarf's name. "Gimli." The Dwarf caught the Man's sleeve before the keeper could replace the book under the counter. "I'm looking for an Elf. Goes by the name Legolas. He would most likely be with the twin sons of Elrond." "The twin Lords are here, but not with one called 'Legolas'. But it may be who you're looking for, they should be down in the morning." ***************** Elladan watched the two on the bed from the chair by the small table. The lamp that was burning only created enough of an orange glow to create strange dancing shadows against the walls. Elrohir had their blonde lover with him, resting against him as he held out pieces of fruit to be eaten by the younger blonde. The tray used to bring their evening meal rested on the table, still mostly covered with the light meat and bread they had asked for. A flask of honey for the bread was yet unopened, as was the small bottle of wine. There was a light giggle and a mischevious smile directed at Elladan as a piece of strawberry disappeared between the blonde's lips. The elder twin stood and advanced on the two, leaning over his brother to draw the blonde into a deep kiss, taking the fruit as he pulled away. "You two are hopeless," he muttered. "Will you not join us tonight, dear brother?" Elrohir asked, moving the plate of fruit over to the nightstand. Elladan grinned, "Not quite yet." When Elladan returned to his place at the table and poured some wine for himself, Elrohir grinned. "Should we give him something to watch, Legolas?" Legolas grinned and winked at Elladan before drawing Elrohir into a deep kiss. Elladan just shook his head and watched the two while sipping his wine. ***************************************************************** Legolas woke to find hiself between the two brothers. Elladan had a leg over his and Elrohir's arms were around him. He shifted, waking the two almost immediately. Grinning, Legolas kissed Elrohir's nose. "Would you move? You're on my arm." Elrohir grinned, "You are on mine as well." There was a sigh from Elladan as the elder twin pulled Legolas to him, freeing Elrohir. "I think you owe me, Little Leaf." Elrohir stretched and got up, dressing quickly. "Well, I'm going to go get ready for the day then fetch breakfast. Enjoy yourselves." Elladan already had Legolas pinned below him and waved his brother off. Legolas broke the kiss and looked over at Elrohir. "Could you see if my cloak is repaired yet? The tailor said it should be." Elrohir nodded absently, leaving his brother and bonded. ******************** Elrohir came down the stair quickly, his raven hair only a little damp. He fully intended to take a quick bite before going to find the tailor, but he stopped and grinned when he saw Gimli at the bar counter, taking part in breakfast. "Master Gimli!" The Dwarf started, turning to see which of the twins called him. "Lord Elrohir I assume?" Elrohir laughed and nodded, taking a seat next to the Dwarf and asking for a bowl of porridge. "You assume correctly. What brings you so far north?" "A search for a friend, one which you and your brother seem quite content to keep to yourselves." "Ah, but dear Legolas is bonded to us," Elrohir reminded the Dwarf, grinning. "And you should wait a little while longer before seeking him out in our room." The Dwarf gave him a sidelong look, "I do not wish to know what you've done to him." "Well, I have an errand to run as well. Would you accompany me? We may speak during that time." The Dwarf nodded his consent, "Of course." *****************************************************************
