Title: Battle's Poison Epilogue Author (including email): Celeborn Peredhil (CelebornEstel@aol.com) Pairing(s): Legolas/ Thanduil Rating: G Summary: Epilogue perhaps... Disclaimer: Nope, still not getting anything Warning (only if necessary): incest if you wish Authors Note (if needed/desired): If you don't read anything else read the ending note. Legolas fell asleep in Thranduil's bedroom in a chair by the bed. He'd been there over four hours. Thranduil stirred finally awake. He couldn't help but smile at Legolas lying there. If only he could lie by him...comfort him... His strength had returned, and he was at last healed. "Father!" Legolas gasped hugging him, "Your awake!" "Yes,..." he nodded without thought to the situation. Legolas' head rested on his shoulder and he sighed contentedly. Legolas grew lost in his own thoughts once again, "People always jump to conclusions, always think their thoughts are better than others... If people were just more open minded...than perhaps one day ... mayhaps ... no... So few truly understand love... Love isn't just what people assume. Love is having the courage to stand up against every impossibility, to give your own life to protect, and..." his words drown off again. "It's unexplainable...I just hope that one day ... he won't always be so blind..." Legolas sighed, he couldn't explain it but he knew it was and wasn't that more than anything else what truly mattered? Yes, it was. *No, unless at least one person ask I shall not continue this. It's more of an epilogue I suppose ... ending where it began... I just hope that at least one person learnt one thing from Lord of the Rings. Sam's love for Frodo was a true love that cannot be surpassed. If anyone can read this and know this is what I was trying to say then so be it. I pity those who can't.* Title: Battle's Poison Author (including email): Celebrant Peredhil ( CelebornEstel@aol.com) Pairing(s): Legolas/ Thanduil Rating: PG for now, hey it's only Chapter 1 Summary: Chapter 1, Although more like a prologue and quite short... After wounded in battle, Legolas worries over his father's recovery to sum it up. Disclaimer: No, I doest not own these characters and I'm not getting any richer. Send suggestions and don't be shy. ^^; Are mind are all in the gutter but some of us are looking up at the stars. Well, enjoy. Battle's Poison Spreading as an epidemic it started, slowly effecting one land and then another little by little. Perhaps it was only his imagination. Perhaps it was a dream... No, this was a reality. A great shadow was consuming the land little by little. Little ... by little ... by little. Until a great wasteland formed, a pool of darkness cast into shadow. Could nothing stop this? Whatever it was set on destruction. The wind blew through the trees, reminding him of the dramatically slow melody of an orchestra. What was that in the distance? A war? No, a battle. He looked upon the great, vast army and somehow they knew never again an army so proud with such dignity would he ever again see, or would he? An alliance of great elven warriors. They all wield great swords, spears, and bows. Never before had he beheld such an army. He noticed a lord. Upon his brow was a circlet of silver that had a plain and simple beauty like that of a star that shone in the midsummer night's sky with radiance. His long, blonde hair was loosely nimble in the wind and hung over and behind his shoulders. Somehow in no truly peculiar way he looked aged yet youthful, proud, clever, intrusive, and proficient with such high dignity, such noble lordliness he had never imagined. Fair as he was, age was an unguessable wonder. He looked young and old, kind and bitter. His face was as expressionless and stern as the eyes that looked to him and the then to the prodigious field around them. He shouted commands in a language foreign to the great army, but beautiful nonetheless to the tongue that spoke it and the ears of those who listened. The words were hurried from need and the tongue flicked with them. His voice rose above all others. Battle drew near and the piercing beat of drums grew louder. The rhythm was sharp and short in unison with a call back of a drum roll in answer. Thunder crashed overhead with a sound as fierce as the drums. Lightening stroke, a vivid strike through the sky. The sky was sunless and the air chilled though the warriors were heated with the desperation of the battle. Their swords were raised and at his command they struck the enemy before them. The sound rose and lingered in the air of metal clasped against metal-sword against sword, sword against spear, sword against shield, and sword against ax. Already many were dead-both of the enemy and alliance. In their minds, over them they saw death creeping and taking the souls of those who fell. Few were lucky enough to be wounded lightly. Death was cruel and enjoyed his work. He saw him cloaked in black with hands of bone, without flesh or blood. There he was, his skeleton hand reaching down to pull out life and send souls into the fiery chasm of the underworld. Sword split flesh, spears pierced hearts, axes slaughtered heads, and skulls smashed benighted the hooves of horses. It was gruesome and the lord's face now revealed expression. It was grim with grief, horror, and disbelief. Suddenly, he looked above him and saw death's hand reaching down... and missing to his relief. "Thranduil, my lord..." Legolas called gently though shaking him with force, "Thranduil ... father..." To his relief, the Elven lord woke. He was wounded, yet he was alive and that was nothing to worry about, he'd heal easily. "Your alive." He simply received a nod and grew satisfied with that. "I feared you'd left for the Halls of Mandos..." "No," Thranduil replied a bit pained. He rested on Legolas' slender form admiring his son's beauty. He was so much like himself ... slender, proud, stubborn, fair haired... Ai, how he longed to plunge his hands in that hair ... feel his son's lips against his own ... the list went on into endless possibilities. His son so close, and yet so far away... If only... If only... Legolas stirred and the wounded cries of Orcs told them victory was near. It ended sooner than it began, though many were dead. As much as Legolas was aware, he hated to say he couldn't care. Thranduil ... his Thranduil nestled in his arms. Safe in his arms. So content was Legolas...and Thranduil as well. Legolas rested his head in his hair, even if Thranduil was blood stained, his fragrance lingered to Legolas. It was such a sweet smell... So very sweet... Legolas' cheek nuzzled against him, and then...stopped realizing what it did. Thranduil sighed both content, pained from more than the wounds, and disappointed. An elf arrived near them. "Is the lord ... is he..." "No," Legolas answered simply as his father, "he lives, though he must be healed." *~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ It was a day or so's walk back home and Legolas dreaded it. Not for his sake, but his father, drugged and riding in his arms. Rain poured on and off and Legolas sighed. He didn't mind it, but Thranduil trembled in his arms. "He'll be fine..." Legolas assured himself without much hope. "He's strong," thought Legolas and in answer a voice came. "But for the weather." "He'll fight it..." "He's weak now..." The voice tormented him. "Legolas... are you all right?" the elf nearest him asked in concern. "Legolas?" "Hum?" Legolas lost so much in his own thoughts had been completely oblivious to the world. "Legolas are you all right? You seem troubled ... though I can see why." "Have no concern I'm fine. I only worry for him," Legolas replied as he felt the elf's hand gently squeeze his shoulder. He gave a weak smile and continued his journey. Only a few more hours and they'd be home... He'd been there over four hours. Thranduil stirred finally awake. He couldn't help but smile at Legolas lying there. If only he could lie by him...comfort him... His strengh had returned, and he was at last mostly healed. "Father!" Legolas gasped hugging him, "Your awake!" "Yes..." he nodded without thought to the situation. Legolas' head rested on his shoulder and he sighed contently. Legolas removed his hands from his neck and head from his shoulder. "I'll be back in a bit... I have some tea on for you and your wounds need rebandaging," he said in his usual soft voice, which Thanduil admired as well. "Farewell for now." "Farewell..." he sighed watching him leave and fell asleep untill awoke by Legolas sitting on the bed near him. He immediantly realised he nothing on, but opening his eyes to Legolas' shinning blue eyes he quickly forgot all the same. "Legolas?" he blinked. He nodded, "There's tea and your wounds are bandaged. Do you need anything?" Thranduil sat up letting the covers sink to his stomach and Legolas focussed on watching him drink the tea. "Do you need anything?" he repeated. "Hum?" Thanduil asked waking out of his thoughts. "Do you need anything?" Legolas asked in concern. "No," he replied. Legolas contenued to fuss over him as a mother would a child and Thranduil let him since he was enjoying the company, and the fuss. Legolas would sit on his bed softly stroking his hair while telling him the events of the day. Then, Legolas would make such a fuss over him eatting untill finally he ended up being spoon-feed. Legolas happily took on the responsibility, if you could even call it that, and spent his every waking moment with him. That night Legolas woke shivering with the cold. He nursed the fire back and went back admiring Thrandui's shivering form. He crept into the bed and fell asleep as he'd done in childhood after a nightmare or a cold winter night such as this one. He was thirty-five not that old for an elf really. Maturity was at age fifty so it didn't much matter he wouldn't expect anything. Legolas wrapped the blanket aroudn them and nestled into his father's hair sleeping soundly. Thranduil woke near three in the morning and shivered slightly though the fire burnt wildly. He smiled at Legolas asleep near him in his usual childhood spot across from him. After his mother died he often slept near him for the comfort of knowing he was there. He softly stroked his hair and kissed his forehead. Then he noticed for the second time he had nothing on and got up. Legolas woke to the movement and glanced from his already opened eyes as Thranduil dressed into his undergarments. And then looked down chiding himself and pretending to sleep. "Ai, Legolas," Thranduil murmered softly lying down beside him. "Sweet Legolas," he sighed softly stroking his hair and kissing his forehead. "'T'was noontide of summer, And mid-time of night; And stars in their orbits, Shone pale through the light Of the bright, cold moon, 'Mid planets her slaves, Herself in the heavens, Her beam on the waves. I gaz'd awhile On her cold smile; Too cold- too cold for me- There pass'd, as a shroud, A fleecy cloud, And I turn'd away to thee, Proud Evening Star, In thy glory afar, And dearer thy beam shall be; For joy to my heart Is the proud part Thou bearest in Heav'n at night, And more I admire Thy distant fire, Than colder lowly light. And from that Legolas fell into a deep slumber nestled safely in his father's arms. I must tell you something," Legolas breathed deeply fingering the necklace. "Yes, do you like the necklace?" Thranduil smiled brushing back his own hair. "Yes.. but... I'm sorry..." "For what?" "That I love you." "Why are you sorry for that?" "Because I love you more than I should... You see I love you as I am not allowed," Legolas couldn't help but start crying. He didn't want to love him in that way ... he really didn't but he couldn't stop either. "Shush. Quiet... It's all right Legolas... It's okay. I love you as well..." "What?" Legolas said continuing to look down in shame. It was probably to make him feel better but still he didn't want to face him. It had to be said. It was eating at him as-as ... he cried harder. "Quiet my beloved," he lifted Legolas' chin and gently kissed him. "See everything's all right. I'm here..." Legolas sniffled and lay his head on his chest. "Your not mad?" he said finally looking up. "Of course not. I love you more so than you can think of... I wanted to tell you... I really did ... but I couldn't." Thranduil gently kissed his face, pointy ears, flushing cheeks, silky lips, forehead, and neck until Legolas calmed down. "You just feel sorry for me," he managed and sighed. "No, I don't... Legolas look at me ... am I lying?" Legolas shrugged. "Oh come now. Have I ever lied to you?" "No." "Then why would I start?" Thranduil kissed his son once again and got up. "Where are you going?" "To get us something to eat. I'll be back in a little while, don't worry." "Okay..." Legolas lie down on the bed. "He loves me ... he actually loves me." Legolas smiled to himself. "Miss me?" Thranduil walked inside and sat a platter down on the table aside his bed. Legolas nodded and Thranduil sat down aside him. "Here eat," Thranduil pressed an apple to his lips. Legolas took a bit still a bit weak from lack of sleep. "Good?" Legolas nodded eating greedily. Thranduil lay beside him feeding him and watching with lust as the juice ran down his chin and flinched as the juice ran down his fingers. Legolas gently lapped it up taking a moment to suck on his fingers one by one as Thranduil licked his cheeks and chin. "You know ... apples taste even better on you." Legolas laughed, "Oh really? Am I supposed to take that as a compliment?" Thranduil nodded. "Of course." "Well, you taste good by yourself." They laughed merrily until there was a knock on the door. Thranduil removed himself from Legolas quickly and left him to finish eating by himself while he sat across from him watching him eat. "Come in." Thranduil said glancing at the door. "My Lord I was just wondering," Celeonius said looking to Legolas with distaste, "would you like me to send a messenger to Rivendell?" "Not really." "Very well," he glared at Legolas and bowed. "Farewell my lord." He was tremendously ecstatic when Legolas had collapsed, it meant he couldn't go. "Stupid brat," he muttered going down the hall. "Ai, but that won't matter later on. I have plans for him," he laughed and went into his room. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ "I have to return to my duties rest a bit. I'll be back tonight around ten perhaps," Thranduil kissed Legolas letting his tongue linger in his mouth while Legolas wrapped his arms about his neck. Thranduil broke the kiss and kissed his forehead. "Farewell my beloved. Stay out of trouble." "If you insist," he teased. "I love you..." "As do I. Be good." Legolas got up and dressed into his royal robes which Thranduil had changed for him since he complained. He smiled and walked down the hall. He peaked in his father's study where he and some elf were talking about the battle. "Rather boring really," he thought. "I suppose I got lucky to be left out of it." Opening the door he walked outside into the sun. It was a beautiful day with blue skies and white clouds in fall. He yawned and stretched out on the ground watching the clouds pass and the leaves blow off the trees. "*Oh Legolas...*" he was pulled roughly to his feet. "Up my little one." "Haldir?" he blinked. "Who did you expect?" "Certainly not you ... your supposed to be in Lorien." "I'm bringing a message to your father. Simple as that." Legolas nodded. "And Celeonius wanted me to tell you something as well." "What's that?" "This." Haldir slapped him roughly across the face knocking him to the ground with such force. "Farewell." "Haldir! Damn you!" "*Farewell my prince. Good day*" he snickered. "And also I send my greetings." He kicked him between the legs and walked inside. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Legolas lay in bed reading and waiting for Thranduil. He strongly decided against telling him against Haldir. It was much to embarrassing. Thranduil walked in and Legolas hugged him arms about his neck. "I missed you!" Thranduil laughed and kissed his nose. "Did you now?" Legolas nodded. He laughed merrily and tackled him to the bed. "Come now Legolas off." "As you wi-" Thranduil pushed him down and kissed him. "A little to easy aren't we?" "I blame your beautiful voice." They laughed together and rolled about playfully for a bit until finally tiring. Legolas lay atop Thranduil between his legs and on his chest. "What happened to your cheek?" Thranduil asked softly running his hand over it. "It's nothing. I probably just bumped into a branch or some other small thing I don't recall. It's nothing. Really." "It's something now stop trying to pull away. I just want to make sure you're all right... It looks more like someone slapped you..." "Really father it's nothing. Don't you believe me?" "Very well... Good night my beloved," he kissed him one last time before falling asleep, arms around Legolas' waist. Thranduil nuzzled his nose against Legolas'. "Up now, the sun is beating you." "So," Legolas grumbled. "Oh, come on. Up! Up!" "Must you yell?" "Fine then. Say in bed and miss the entire day." "Why do I care about the day? You gave me plenty of exhaustion under last night's stars!" "I suppose I did," he teased. "What shall it take to get you up my beloved? Let us see if you purr!" Thranduil kissed down his collarbone and Legolas did indeed purr. "I'm up! I'm up!" "Good! There's a nice bath awaiting us if you'd hurry before the water's cold." "Oh, if you say so," Legolas whined quite pathetically. "Won't you carry me?" "Your intolerable!" Thranduil chided. Legolas nodded and Thranduil picked him up. A wicked grin crossed his face as he took him into the bathroom. He simply dropped him in the tub-clothes, and all. "Your the intolerable one!" Legolas whined. Thranduil laughed undressing. "Revenge is sweet is it not?" "OH, GET IN HERE!" Thranduil laughed and stepped in hardly disturbing the water. Taking up the soap he kissed Legolas' neck running the soap over his shoulders and down his back and then up and down his chest... It was heaven. Desire spread over Thranduil. Thranduil was best known for his greed and love of beauty. Legolas was by far the most beautiful of creatures and he was captured by his beauty. And so Thranduil behind him most will over himself shoving inside his son without lubricant or preparing him. Thranduil swiftly cupped his hand over Legolas' mouth to prevent him from screaming. "Legolas, quiet, I didn't mean to do it." Legolas skimmed trying to pull away. "If you pull away you might hurt yourself worst! Stop," Thranduil demanded. After a few seconds the pain diminished and Thranduil pulled away. "Forgive me Legolas..." Legolas was crying silently at the point and refused to answer. Thranduil pulled him to his body and tried embracing him. "Don't touch me!" Legolas hissed pulling away. "I never meant to. Try to understand that." Legolas got up, dressed, and walked out the door. He left to his room and lie down. "Legolas... I brought you something to eat..." "I don't care." Thranduil sighed and left out the door. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Haldir knocked at his door. "Go away Thranduil!" "I'm not Thranduil," Haldir assured him. His voice was soft and sweet, Legolas wondered how long that would last. "I'm sorry for yesterday... I did not mean it. It was all in fun, though I'm afraid you found it not in the least bit fun. I know what happened." "How do you know what Thranduil did?" "I was walking by his door, you screamed. I heard the entire conversation. He is not truly in love with you, but he *is* in love with your beauty. You should know that. He loves beautiful things..." "Yes..." "I however love you and couldn't give a damn about your beauty. Come couldn't you see it. I've teased you since we were small because I loved you. Don't you trust me?" "Yes." "Then you shan't mind," he smiled. He took out a knife and pressed it to his neck grabbing his hair. "Down Legolas." He pulled dwon his leggings. "I said down!" Legolas was shoved down roughly. Haldir used Legolas to his own delight. "Now swallow," he pressed the knife closer. Legolas did as he was told. "Why are you doing this?" "Because you're the perfect toy. On your knees." Thranduil knocked. "Legolas may I come in?" Haldir dressed and pulled Legolas to his feet. "Not a word," he hissed. "Tell him in." "Yes, father." Legolas tried whipping away "What have you done to him?" Thranduil asked nearing Haldir. "Whatever do you mean?" "You've taken him against his will and you know it. It's in his eyes." "How could you think such a thing after what you did." "I could have your head," Thranduil reminded him taking Legolas into his arms. "As could I." "Who do you think they'd believe me or you? Besides what I did was an accident and you- you... You sicken me." "Yes, so we're even. Legolas wouldn't you rather come with me than ... him." "Frankly, Haldir, I don't give a damn." "Humph. Your so beautiful I thought you might make a good husband. Fine stay with him." "I shall." Insulted Haldir stomped out the door. "Farewell, *my lord.*" Legolas grabbed Thranduil's neck once again. "I'm sorry I didn't believe you father..." "Don't be, beloved." Legolas nuzzled his face into his neck. "I love you." "You know, you reek of Haldir. You should take a bath." "Only if you'll come." Legolas smiled at him. "If you insist." Thranduil kissed his nose and picked him. *The End*
