THE 10'TH LIBRARY OF MORIA CHALLENGE;
PLEASE READ, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT! ; the challenge moved from my server to the LoM server, please read the rules and if you after you read it all and what this specific challenge is about, still want to enter... please do so! We will look forward to your submissions! the challenge will stay on this URL, so you can bookmark this site.
PLEASE READ ALL THE INFORMATION BELOW BEFORE ENTERING:
General rules; these rules apply for any entry, and for every challenge. Do not break these, it will be muchly frowned upon, and please, please do take the time to read them.
*Every entry must be made for the challenge, and not some old stuff from your hard disk, this will disqualify you.
*Please vote in every category, I will not count your vote if you didn't.
*A HET (heterosexual) pairing will disqualify you.
*From when you send your entry to me, until the challenge is over, you cannot upload your entry anywhere, you are free to advertise this site all you want, but you must link to this site http://www.libraryofmoria.com/lomchallenges.htm or http://www.libraryofmoria.com and never to a fic.
*In order to vote fairly, you have to read all the entries from the challenge.
*Please remember to fill out the regular authors form that you find further down when you submit anything, and please do remember to state the pairing and rating on a challenge fic.
*Send your submission as a .doc, .rtf, or .txt file attachment, never ever in the name of all the nifty slashable bishies in the world, do you send it as the body of the mail, this will actually disqualify you, but at least trigger an 'do it again, and this time attach the damn thing' email from me, your humble challenge momsy.
*Crossovers are never allowed and will disqualify you, OC pairings the same, if only one of your major pairing is OC then it is accepted. This is part of a LoTr slash community, and therefore only LoTr & Silmarillion based stories are allowed.
*when the challenge fics are uploaded for reading/voting, they will be stripped of all authors names, authors notes, and other things that might give away the author, such as the choise of beta. there will only be the storys name, the summary and the pairring apparent to the voter. but when this story is uploaded to the archive, after the end of the challenge, this information must be there in order for the staff to categorize it properly, so you must include it in your original .doc file and let the challenge momsy delete it from the version that will be up for voting.
*you cannot tell anyone what story you wrote, besides your beta that is, and i am referring to the 'dont link to your own fic and promote yourself to win' rule. this is a challenge where the best story wins, not nessesarily the most popular author.
*The library of moria is a Tolkien fansite, and therefor only stories that is in that universe is allowed.
*Just as on the archive, it is not allowed to have two OC's (original characters) as main pairring, nobody wants to read about what the hobbit Jack and the elf falinuliltensefit did on their first date, OC's are tolerated if they are only one part of the pairring, so it would be hobbit Jack and Frodo frolicking about.
*And just for making a point of it, when we say slash we mean slash, and femslash is allso slash, so that is always allowed.
What was this challenge about then?
This is the 10'th LoM Challenge. and is called 'MY DAY' challenge. What I mean with this, is you decide why its a special day to your chacter, it can be a wedding, a childbirth, a long awaited journey, or a break from a bad relationship, the first night with ones beloved.. and so on, your objective is to write about someones special day.
Any pairring you might like is allowed, (but het, thats a no no).
any warning is allowed.
and any rating youd might want is allso allowed.
Only stories of Tolkienesque universe is allowed, no crossovers, or made up main pairrings.
RPS (real person slash) is allowed, given one or both characters in the main pairring is actors from the LoTr movies. (see general rules)
Rules for submitting:
*And once more I will say DO NOT! As in DO NOT send your submission to me as the body of a mail, please read the guidelines for correct attachments above.
*Again art is allowed, but since its very seldom that I get any art submissions, or more than one art entry. Then you might end up on the winner banner rather than in the actual challenge.
*It is allowed to submit more than one story/piece of art
*This challenge is anonymous and therefore all personal stuff you add will be stripped off when the submission ends, and it is time to vote. And because it is an anonymous challenge, then you cannot discuss your submission with a bunch of other people. Its supposed to be a surprise who wrote what.
*If you don't know someone whom can beta read your story, then LoM have a list of them (betas), but for the sake of all middle-earth I implore you to use one!
*Even if I strip the fics of all personality when uploaded to the challenge, then I will need the information from you, in order to make correct banners and so all the information is there when I send them on to LoM after ended voting. Please fill in this form below and put in the top of your story.

Alright I want to enter;

DAY ENTRY' in the subject line. You will receive an email back when we receive
your mail.
And then? (in general, what will happen to my submission)
All fiction here will from now on be uploaded automatically to LoM archives. When the voting has ended and the banners have been sent to their rightful owners.
When the winners are announced I will upload the banners to this site, and of course also announce them to the LoM forum, and on the LoM LJ.
When the fics are uploaded again after voting, it will of course be with full credits.
I will then announce the next challenge shortly after, both here, on the LoM forum & the LoM LJ.
