Summary Sean breaks up with Elijah but he can't let go

“If I can't have you..I..I'll kill myself”

“Elijah please..it won't work..I don't love you..I love Chris, my 
wife”

“Jesus Sean you chose now after 5 months together to tell me, 
why?”

Because..hell..I don't know..I've gotta go, I'm still your friend 
Lij okay”
Then Sean was gone just like that. Elijah fell to his knees 
sobbing with pain and anger.

As Sean walked to his house he thought back on his relationship 
with Elijah. When they'd first met to when they'd started having a
relationship to just before when he'd broke up with him.
The phone rang but Elijah didn't get up to answer as he was still 
crying.

“He's not answering..I'm going over there Billy”

“Okay Dom lets go”

Elijah was so upset then he remembered what he'd said to Sean, 
that he'd kill himself. Hell, not a bad idea, nothing to live for 
now..he thought. He got up and walked into the kitchen, then 
picked up the bread knife. As he sliced his wrists and the blood 
ran over the blade, he felt free of everything..and as he felt 
dizzy and dropped the knife he heard frantic knocking at the door.
Then he realised he'd made a mistake, he should be dead.

“Kick it Dom, something s wrong” 
Dom kicked the door open and ran into Elijah's apartment.

“Lij, Lij..where are you buddy?”
Elijah could hear Dom calling him, he stumbled out of the kitchen 
and into the living room.

“Oh my god..Lij..Shit Billy, call an ambulance”
Dom ran to his friend and held him tightly, trying not to be sick 
at seeing the blood running from Elijah's wrists.

“Dom..should..be..dead..didn't work”

“What, no Lij..don't you'll be all right, hold on”

“They're on their way” said Billy.


Then Elijah fell limp in Dom's arms, at last he was dying.

“Sean..it's Dom, Elijah's in hospital, he tried to kill 
himself..what happened?”
Sean almost dropped the phone.

“I'll be right there Dom..I fucked up”

“He's on his way”

“Good did he say what happened?”

“Not exactly..but he must have done something bad cos he said he 
fucked up”

Sean reached the hospital in 10 minutes and ran into the waiting 
room.

“Dom, Billy..how is he?”

“We haven't heard yet”
After 15 more minutes of waiting  doctor came out.

“You can go in now, but don't get him worked up..he needs rest”

“Thanks doctor, I'll go first..I need to sort things out”

Elijah was pissed off, why had Dom and Billy saved him.  He didn't 
want to be here in hospital..without Sean he wanted to be dead.
Sean entered the room and walked over to where Elijah was lay his 
eyes closed. He sat down next to the bed and took hold of Elijah's 
hand. Was there someone holding his hand, he opened his eyes to 
see Sean looking at him with concern.

“Lij..I'm so sorry..I shouldn't have..why did you do this”

Elijah felt angry then here was Sean begging for answers to what 
he had caused. He couldn't take it anymore and burst into tears.
He didn't struggle as Sean took him in his arms to comfort him, 
maybe Sean loved him..or maybe not, he didn't know..he just knew 
he should be dead.

“Ssh..hush sweetie..don't cry..I'm sorry..I love you Lij..and I'm 
sorry for walking out on you earlier”
Elijah stopped crying and looked up at Sean.

“You really love me”

“Yes..I'm glad you didn't succeed in killing yourself though, I 
couldn't bear to live without you”

“Oh Sean, I'm sorry..I love you” said Elijah as he burst into 
tears again. Sean took him in his arms as Dom and Billy came in.

“Is he all right?”

“Yes, we'll be okay now, right Lij”

“Yes” sobbed Elijah.

Dom and Billy sat next to the bed and smiled at their two friends 
hugging.

“Glad your okay mate”

“Come here you two, group hug”
They all hugged together, happy that Elijah was safe.
