Title: All You Need is Love is a Lie Author: Juniper Author's Email: jenjuniper77@yahoo.com Pairings: Viggo / Orlando Rating: NC-17 Summary: Based on ‘Split Screen Sadness’ a song by John Mayer – but not a song fic. Orlando and Viggo grow close – but Viggo is confused by what he feels. Disclaimer: All in my head people….all in my head. Orlando lay on the floor sobbing, listening to the echo of the slamming door. Raising a tear-stained face toward the ceiling, a broken ‘why’ escaped his bloodied lips. Curling into a ball, his body shook violently as he listened to the sound of the car driving away. How did it ever get to this point? He was late for work, as usual, rushing to get through the door of his and Sean’s trailer. Yanking the door wide, he ran straight into a surprised figure intending to exit the trailer. The force of the encounter was enough to almost knock both men down. In fact, they both would have hit the ground if it had not been for the quick reaction of the stranger. He grabbed Orlando’s arms, making them keep their balance and remain on their feet. ‘I don’t believe we’ve been introduced.’ A rough American accent stated. Blushing, he raised his eyes to those of the newcomer. ‘Sorry about that mate. I didn’t know anyone would still be in here. I’m running behind…like always.’ The stranger’s eyes were a stormy, blue-gray color. ‘No problem…uh…’ The stranger motioned his hands toward Orlando. ‘Oh – I’m sorry. I’m Orlando. Orlando Bloom. I play Legolas.’ He felt his face heat further. ‘Orlando. I’m Viggo Mortensen. I’m Aragorn – Strider – Elessar…take your pick.’ Offering his hand to Orlando, a friendly smile split his handsome face. ‘Viggo – so you’re the new ranger. Nice to meet you. I hate to run on you so soon, but if I’m not on set in half an hour, PJ’s gonna kill me.’ He moved to walk past Viggo. ‘Sure. I didn’t mean to hold you up. Can’t have Peter killing off all of the elves, right?’ With a mock salute, he turned and walked away, leaving Orlando to stare after him. *-*-* Orlando made it to the set in time to catch the Weathertop fight sequence. His eyes were drawn to Viggo as he watched the older man fight the ringwraiths. He already seemed to fit in well on set. Even more so than others who had been there since the beginning of the shoot. Watching the scene in front of him, Orlando marveled at the skill and power Viggo possessed. When Peter called it a wrap, Viggo walked off set, sending Orlando a smile as he passed. ‘Earth to Orli … earth to Orli…Houston, we have a problem.’ Orlando snapped out of his daze long enough to swing a playful punch at Dom. ‘What are you rattling on about, you git?’ He asked the Hobbit. ‘You were off in space OB. Where were you at?’ Elijah answered, looking toward where Orlando had been staring. ‘Oh. I see. Visiting planet Viggo, huh?’ ‘What are you talking about?’ Orlando eyed Elijah warily. ‘I don’t go for those types of things.’ ‘That’s a pity, Orlando.’ A Scottish voice remarked from behind him. ‘I know lots of guys on set that wish you went for those kinds of things.’ Billy grinned at him as he walked up to stand beside him. ‘What is everyone talking about?’ Orlando was beginning to grow frustrated with the Hobbits. ‘Don’t let ‘em bother you Orli. They’re just talking out of their asses.’ A passing Sean Astin said, patting Orlando on the shoulder as he left the set. ‘Are we all going out for drinks tonight? I found this cool club that has a great DJ and cheap drinks.’ Elijah’s eyebrows wiggled comically as he looked around the group. ‘Sure. Let’s hang out. Drink a few beers, break a few hearts. Why not?’ Billy said. After agreeing to meet at the club at seven, they all went their separate ways. *-*-* The music was blaring and the lights were flashing as Viggo and Sean made their way into the club. He didn’t know why he let Sean talk him into coming here, but he was pretty sure it had something to do with the pretty elf. Viggo didn’t know why, but he had felt something when he had touched the younger man today. It was almost like a bolt of lightening striking him where he stood. It was a feeling he had never experienced before. Taking seats at a table on the perimeter of the dance floor, the two older men sat down, ordering drinks and getting comfortable. Before too long, Elijah danced around in front of them. ‘Hey guys – what’s going on?’ The innocent looking young man asked as Dom and Billy danced up behind him. ‘Just enjoying a night out gentlemen. How’s the crowd?’ Sean asked the three bouncing bodies. ‘Better for some of us than others. Orli’s been dancing all night, girl after girl, guy after guy, but I can’t get anyone to dance with me.’ Dom stated. ‘Now Dommie – you know I’ll dance with you.’ Billy laughed, flirting slightly. ‘But Billy – you won’t let me in your skirt.’ Dom pouted. ‘It’s called a kilt, and besides – I don’t wear it much.’ Billy retorted. Dom managed to look shocked as the rest of the guys laughed. He wasn’t sure he should take Billy so seriously. Especially when he had been drinking. Orlando picked that moment to join them. ‘What’s so funny guys?’ ‘Well, if it isn’t the prissy elf.’ Viggo raised an eyebrow at Orlando. ‘Filthy human.’ Orlando shot back before asking again, ‘C’mon – what’s so funny?’ ‘Dom’s trying to get into Billy’s kilt.’ Elijah managed to get out, between fits of giggles. Smirking, Orlando said, ‘Since when?’ He didn’t expect an answer, so he was surprised when Dom mumbled something. ‘What’s that Dom?’ ‘I said since we came to New Zealand…’ Dom’s voice sounded loud in the quietness between songs. Face reddening – he turned and fled into the crowd. The rest of them stood there, stunned for a moment, before Billy spoke up. ‘I’d better go find him.’ Elijah stood there looking very young before finally shrugging and turning to dance back onto the floor. ‘Can I join you guys?’ Orlando asked, and with a nod from Sean, pulled out a chair, settled between the two men. ‘Did either of you see that one coming?’ Sean laughed. ‘No. It shocked the hell out of me. You, Viggo? – Viggo?’ ‘Huh?’ Viggo jerked his gaze away from Orlando’s profile as Orli and Sean both turned toward him. ‘Don’t ask me…I just got here.’ *-*-* Months passed and the fellowship of the cast grew stronger. Billy and Dom did indeed become a couple. A quite devoted one at that. Elijah and Liv hung around together all of the time, reminiscing about America. Sean Astin spent time with Lij and with his own family. Sean Bean finished his scenes and returned home. Orlando and Viggo began to spend more time together. Over the months, a strong friendship developed between the two. Over the months, Orlando fell in love with Viggo. *-*-* It was late on a Friday night. Viggo had been at Orlando’s house all evening. The two of them ate a delicious roasted fish dinner and spent the evening in front of the television, watching ‘The Matrix’. Orlando laughed as Viggo made fun of Hugo as Agent Smith. Viggo explained plot points to Orlando when he couldn’t grasp what was going on. The two men sat close on the floor in front of the sofa. Viggo was turned facing Orlando, with his arm slung out on the couch behind Orlando’s head. Making fun of Hugo turned the conversation toward hairlines and hairdo’s and wigs. Viggo began to lightly trace his finger along the back of Orlando’s shaved skull. ‘What does it feel like Orlando?’ His husky voice asked as he flicked the television off using the remote. ‘Go ahead – touch it.’ Orlando spoke quietly in the silence of the room. Viggo threaded his fingers into the soft strip of hair on Orli’s scalp, running them against the grain, sending the wavy scruff into spiked peaks. ‘It’s softer than it looks.’ Viggo’s breath ghosted over Orlando’s ear, making him shiver. He turned toward Viggo, finding his face closer than he thought it would be. Closing his eyes, Viggo gave in to the urge and leaned forward, pressing his mouth against Orlando’s. For a moment neither of them moved. Tentatively, Viggo touched his tongue to Orlando’s lips. Tracing them lightly, he gained entrance to the younger man’s mouth when Orli moaned. Viggo’s tongue swept into Orlando’s mouth, sending fire to his groin. He pressed his body to Viggo’s as the older man continued to pillage his mouth. Viggo pushed him back against the couch before reaching a hand down the front of his jeans, gripping his hardness. Orlando moaned once more as Viggo stilled. The hand slowly pulled out of his jeans and the eyes in front of him slowly cleared. ‘I’m sorry Orli – I don’t know what I’m feeling…’ He stood up quickly and headed toward the door. ‘I can’t do this with you.’ ‘Viggo – no – come back – love you…’ Orlando tried to scramble up, out of the floor, but as he stood, he lost his balance, hitting his face over the arm of the couch, splitting his lip, landing in a heap on the floor. *All you need is love is a lie cause we had love and you still said goodbye* Lying in a ball on the floor, he trembled as he cried. ‘Why?’ The silence was broken only by the ticking of the clock as Orlando fell into a fitful sleep on the floor. *-*-* A soft knocking woke him early the next morning. His head was splitting and he didn’t want to get up out of the floor. After a couple more knocks, the door swung open a bit. ‘Orli? Are you here?’ Viggo called out questioningly. Moving into the living room, he saw Orlando lying on the floor. ‘Oh god – Orli – are you okay?’ He rushed over to the younger man. ‘What happened?’ ‘Fell…Viggo – tried to stop you…’ His face felt raw and his head pounded from all the tears he had cried last night. ‘Oh baby – I’m sorry. I’m sorry I left you like I did.’ Viggo pulled Orlando up onto the couch, onto his lap. Leaning against Viggo and the arm of the couch, Orlando asked the question that had been bouncing around his addled brain all night. ‘Why?’ His eyes were lowered to his hands. He wouldn’t look Viggo in the eyes. Placing a hand under Orlando’s chin, Viggo gently raised his face, forcing their eyes to meet. ‘I was confused Orlando. I still am confused. You’ve got to understand – you’re the first guy I’ve ever had these feelings for. I don’t know what I’m doing…’ He was stopped by Orlando’s fingers over his lips. ‘Do you trust me Viggo?’ Orlando searched Viggo’s eyes. ‘Yes.’ Viggo whispered. ‘How much?’ Brown eyes questioned. ‘With my life.’ Blue-gray eyes answered. ‘Let me show you.’ Soft lips whispered against Viggo’s as Orlando gently pressed his lips to the older man’s. Viggo’s answer was a parting of lips, a whisper of breath that was stolen by Orlando as his tongue swept into Viggo’s mouth, silkily caressing the playmate it found therein. The two men kissed hungrily, hands roaming, bodies eager for more. Orlando could feel Viggo’s erection against his backside as he sat in Viggo’s lap. Continuing to kiss Viggo, he moved his bottom in circles, feeling Viggo harden even more. ‘Do you want me Viggo?’ Orlando broke the kiss to ask. Pressing his forehead against Orlando’s, Viggo answered, ‘More than anything.’ He groaned as Orlando pulled off of his lap. He took the elegant hand that reached out to him, letting himself be led into the bedroom. As they reached the darkened room that hadn’t been slept in the previous night, Orlando removed his clothes. Moving toward the bed, he opened the nightstand drawer, removing a bottle of lubricant and a couple of condoms. He lay down on the bed and looked at Viggo. The fire in his eyes was enough to draw Viggo, like a moth to the flames. Stripping his clothes, he moved to lie on the bed, covering Orlando from hips to shoulders. He gasped as their erections met. This was an entirely new sensation for him. ‘Orlando – I don’t know what to do.’ Viggo – bless his heart – looked nervous. ‘Just make love to me Viggo. That’s all I ask.’ Orlando whispered. ‘I do, you know.’ Viggo said sheepishly. ‘Do what?’ A confused Orlando asked. ‘Love you. I want to show you how much.’ Viggo smiled down at his young, soon-to-be lover. ‘Make me yours Viggo.’ Orlando pulled Viggo down to him. Mouths meeting passionately, the flames of desire soared ever higher. Viggo wanted to kiss every inch of Orlando’s body. He fluttered soft kisses over Orlando’s face, down his neck, across his chest, over his abdomen. He placed light, sucking kisses along the length of Orlando’s aroused flesh before Orlando pulled him up. Burning black eyes bored into his as a needy ‘Now’ escaped those beautiful lips. *-*-* Orlando was no stranger to the way of sex between men, but touching Viggo – being touched by Viggo – was a whole new experience to him. It felt like his first time. As Viggo prepared to love him, he realized exactly how nervous he was. ‘Do what feels right Viggo.’ Orlando felt two slick fingers tracing his entrance before slipping in. It was uncomfortable at first. He hadn’t done this for a few years and his body had forgotten what it was like. Soon he was writhing under Viggo as the older man found his prostate and began rubbing over it. Viggo removed his fingers and Orlando heard the foil package of the condom being torn as he closed his eyes and tried to calm down. He felt a soft nudge at his opening before Viggo began to press in. The pain was sharp as the head of Viggo’s cock pierced the ring of muscle, but he relaxed his body enough that Viggo could slide the rest of the way in. When Viggo was completely encased in the hot sheath of muscle, Orlando gave an experimental squeeze, chuckling when Viggo gasped. ‘Oh, so that’s the way. it. is?’ Viggo punctuated each word with a short jab across Orlando’s prostate. Orlando arched his back, pressing up against Viggo, who had stilled again. Opening his eyes, he pleaded with Viggo. ‘Move – please?’ Before long, a steady deep rhythm was set and both men were groaning as skin slapped together. Sweat gathered between Viggo’s hips and Orlando’s thighs, making the movements that much slicker – that much more erotic. Both men were nearing the edge of release as Viggo began thrusting erratically and Orlando’s inner muscles began rippling. Orlando came with a shout, warming their bellies with his hot seed. Viggo thrust once more before he came, groaning into Orlando’s mouth. Viggo’s body collapsed onto Orli’s and they both lay there panting for a moment. Viggo pulled out of Orli gently and disposed of the condom in the bedside wastebasket. Orlando reached down beside the bed, finding his t-shirt and using it to clean him and Viggo both off. As they lay there, drifting lightly, Orlando murmured to Viggo, ‘I love you Viggo. And love is all we need. The End.
