REVIEW REVIEW REVIEW! ^_^ Disclaimer: Not mine and not real. I doubt it would’ve made the movie anyway. It all belongs to Tolkien. Although I wish it was real cuz then I could give Maeglin a good spanking… ^_~ Tathren DOES belong to me, however, and his automatic burglar alarm will go off as soon as he is inserted into any fic without my consent. You. Have. Been. Warned. Bumbumbuuuuummmm!!! Dedication: To Riley again, because I love her fics and I love her and I’m very sorry that she decided to go away and stop writing L/A smut. Aishiteru and thanx for being very nice with your comments! To my beloved beta, Cristina, for kicking my @$$ into writing this third part. Here it is. YAY!!! HAL-DEAR/LEGSIE COMFORT/SMUT!!! A/N: Wow, I actually got to the third chapter! *looks shocked* Scary... Um, yeah. Haldir actually gets to *comforting* (winkwinknudgenudge) Legolas. By what means, I refuse to divulge. ^_^ Well, have fun! Oh yeah, for anyone wanting to know what is the deal with the quotes, well… they are very important and point out substantial themes to the particular chapter that they are inserted into. For people who are reading this and going all SD and skittery, screaming “HALDIR’S OOC!!!” Well, he’s not really. I think he’s just an arrogant bastard on the outside, but that he can be really sweet to people he likes. *cough*Legolas*cough* *********************************************************** "In dreams and in love there are no impossibilities." Janos Arany, Hungarian poet *********************************************************** “…and after that… he…" Haldir listened to Legolas’ account of what had happened in his nightmare with growing shock and disgust. Legolas had gotten through telling about how the being had forced him to pleasure him, and shuddered, unable to speak of what had happened next. All this time, Haldir had listened patiently, and when Legolas broke off he patted the prince’s back comfortingly. Legolas flinched but did not move away. “That is horrible Legolas,” Haldir said softly. Legolas leaned forward into Haldir’ chest and trembled. “That’s not even the worst part.” Haldir looked at him in horror and said disbelievingly, “There’s more?” Realizing the only thing worse than that, he closed his eyes, full of sympathy for his old acquaintance. Tears slowly ran down Legolas’ cheeks and he nodded. The march warden cursed softly under his breath and pulled back to see Legolas’ face, but the prince turned away. Haldir sighed. “Legolas, look at me.” He took Legolas’ chin in his hand and made him look at him. In his eyes, Haldir saw the apparent pain and his expression softened. He hugged Legolas once more and whispered into his ear. “You must tell me. If you don’t, you’ll never get over it and you’ll kill yourself from holding it in.” Legolas shook his head vigorously. “No! I can’t!” “You have to!” Haldir urged. Legolas tried to pull away but Haldir caught his arm and he panicked. “No! Let me go!” “Legolas!” “No! I can’t! I couldn’t bear it!” he yelled while trying to escape the grip, tears now flowing freely. Haldir struggled to keep his hold on the hysterical elf and finally grabbed both of his arms and shook him. “Legolas! Listen to me!” he shouted. Legolas fell still, staring at him like he just got slapped. Seeing that, Haldir immediately calmed down. “You must tell me Legolas, no matter how it pains you.” He brought a hand up to Legolas’ face, and rubbed his thumb across the reddened cheek to brush away the tears. Legolas’ bottom lip quivered, and he dove back into Haldir’s arms, sobbing. “You already know what happened!” he choked. “I know that you do! I see it in your eyes! That look of sympathy towards me makes it more obvious!” Haldir groaned in distress. Here he was trying to comfort the poor elf, and all he was doing was making him more scared. Haldir brushed through the soft silken strands of the prince’s hair, making soothing noises until Legolas relaxed and wasn’t trembling so violently. Poor thing… he must be exhausted. He thought. “I have an idea,” Haldir murmured softly into the elf’s ear. Legolas nodded a little to show that he was listening, so Haldir continued. “You must be exhausted from this all, so let’s just go back to my quarters and you can spend the night there, okay?” Legolas lifted his head and peered into Haldir’s eyes questioningly. “Stay with you?” Haldir smiled softly and gathered the elf back into his arms, rubbing his back soothingly. “Yes, you can stay there and if you need anything, I’ll be on hand, all right?” Legolas paused and for a moment Haldir thought he would choose to go back to the fellowship, but after a while of indecision, Legolas nodded. He felt safe with the Guardian. Haldir smiled and broke the embrace with the younger elf. Legolas looked up through the stray strands of hair that had fallen out of place in his earlier run. Haldir put a hand on his back and steered him away from the clearing, and back towards Caras Galadhon. *** Legolas leaned into Haldir on the way through the woods, glad to have some sort of support. He opened his eyes and stared ahead at the path, thinking. Why is he doing this? Why does he bother himself with my problems? So many questions that had yet to be answered ran through his head. We were never even very good friends; he always was away on duty… he never took a break to be with his brothers and I. …… At this thought, Legolas looked up at the March Warden’s face. He was looking ahead and paying attention to the trail. His cheekbones were highlighted by the silver light of the moon glimmering through the leaves of the mellorn trees. His mouth was pursed in a slight frown, as if he was thinking about something, and his grey eyes glittered in the pale light of the stars shining in the sky above the woods Legolas looked down at his feet when he realized he was staring. Haldir had not changed since the last time he had seen him. Although, a little voice in his brain added, his personality has changed somewhat. Legolas looked back up at the other elf. Yes, he affirmed. Haldir had definitely changed for the better. He was less arrogant and seemed so concerned about Legolas, it made him want to launch himself into the warm arms and cry his eyes out. Which you already did, the irritating voice nagged. Legolas sighed and Haldir turned from his thoughts to look at him. His eyes held a question there and Legolas shook his head, brushing it off. The normally harsh grey eyes softened and Haldir turned back to the path. He leaned his head back onto Haldir’s shoulder, and sighed again, thinking about what had happened. I am acting like such a child! Why am I making such a problem out of this? It wasn’t even real… It was just a dream… *** “This is it.” Legolas finally climbed to the top of the mellorn tree that held Haldir and his brothers’ quarters. The two elves were standing on the balcony that encircled the small tree house that the three guardians resided in. “Well?” Legolas jumped at the sound from right behind him. He turned around and Haldir was standing there looking expectant. “Well,” he repeated. “What do you think?” Legolas looked back at the tree house and smiled. “It’ll do fine Haldir.” He turned back to the guardian and took one of his hands into his own. “Thank you.” Haldir smiled. “No need to thank me, princeling.” He started walking to the door and motioned for Legolas to follow him. They entered and Legolas peered around at the room they were in with mild curiosity. Haldir saw the look and chuckled. “This is Rúmil’s room He’s been rather messy of late, as of certain circumstances.” There was a mischievous twinkle in his eyes as he said this that was just begging to be questioned. “Circumstances?” “He met someone he likes and he’s been busy trying to catch their eye.” Haldir said as-a-matter-of-factly. Legolas’ eyes widened. “Really?” “Yup.” Haldir moved into another room and Legolas followed, looking around. It was Orophin’s. Still impeccably clean, he thought, except for the bed, which looked like it was made inattentively. He almost thought to ask if Orophin had also found an elf that caught his interest but Haldir spoke first. “You can sleep in my room tonight,” Haldir offered. “Thank you again,” Legolas said quietly, standing in the middle of the room and looking down at his feet. Haldir glanced over at him and furrowed his brows. The princeling changed moods faster than he did, which was saying a lot. The March Warden strode over to him and took the elf in his arms, ignoring the squawk of surprise that greeted the sudden action. At first Legolas tried to squirm out of the hug, but soon he relaxed in the now familiar arms of Haldir. Legolas took a deep breath, and sighed. Haldir didn’t let him go until he was positive that the younger elf was calmed and relaxed. “Are you feeling a little better now?” Haldir whispered into Legolas’ ear while stroking his hair. Legolas nodded silently and Haldir pulled away, smiling. “Good. Is there anything that you want?” Legolas seemed to think about this for a while and bit his lower lip slightly. “I would like to bathe if it wouldn’t be too much trouble.” “All right. I can take you to the baths easy enough.” With that said, Haldir turned to his oak dresser. He opened one of the drawers and pulled out a tunic and pair of leggings. He closed the drawer and walked over to Legolas, who was staring at him. “What are those for?” Haldir grinned a little. “Well, I haven’t taken a bath yet as I just got home, so I thought I would join you.” Legolas’ eyes widened but he nodded his consent. Haldir narrowed his eyes when he noticed the normal spark and youthful vigor of Legolas’ eyes was gone, leaving them a dull blue-grey. He is taking this badly, he thought. I cannot let him be consumed by this! I’ve got to help him somehow… His thoughts were interrupted as Legolas started talking. “Well? I thought we were going?” Haldir shook his head and smiled. “Of course your highness,” he bowed in mock-respect and signaled that Legolas go out of the door ahead of him. “Your arrogance will be the end of you, Haldir of Lórien,” Legolas shot over his shoulder. Haldir smirked. Apparently the little princeling hadn’t lost his sense of humor. “Of course my lord,” Haldir said, following Legolas out onto the balcony. That’s it Haldir, keep acting normal, and maybe he’ll feel better, he mentally repeated to himself. He stepped ahead of him and led him to the other side of the tree house, where a rope bridge was positioned and attached to another tree. It had a larger tree house on it and Legolas recognized it as a few of Rúmil’s friends’ home. Legolas looked at the rope bridge curiously. “I thought the bath house was on the ground, or it was last time I was here.” Haldir brushed the comment off, unconcerned. “Yes, but I have to do something first.” With that he gave a low whistle, and waited for whatever effect it had. As Legolas watched the other tree, an elf walked out of tree house. He was taller than most of the Lórien elves and had long blond hair that reached down to his waist. He brought a hand up to wave to Haldir. “Mae govannen Haldir!” he called lightly; his voice a light, merry sound. “Suilad Tathren!” Haldir called back. “Are you well this evening?” Tathren laughed brightly. “It is the middle of the night Haldir! You woke me up! How do you think I could be well?” he said across the distance between the two trees. Haldir rolled his eyes and turned to Legolas and whispered, “He is always like this, pay no mind to it.” When Legolas nodded, he focused on Tathren. “May I ask you a favor, friend?” Tathren nodded but then stopped and tittered with hidden amusement. “It matters what the favor is, March Warden.” Haldir sighed heavily. “We’re going to the bath house right now. When Rúmil or Orophin return, can you tell them where we are, so they won’t worry themselves into a frenzy.” “The bath house?” Tathren queried, raising his eyebrows. “Rather late for bath isn’t it?” “I feel a need for one,” Haldir commented airily. Tathren snickered at this and turned to walk back inside his room. “Whatever you say Haldir, whatever you say.” “Don’t forget to tell Rúmil!” Haldir yelled at his back. Tathren just waved his hand in dismissal as Haldir glowered. “That elf is impossible I swear,” he muttered while walking toward the rope ladder that they had climbed moments before. Legolas looked on in the entire exchange with silent amusement. He then followed Haldir down the ladder and when they were on solid ground, the Lórien elf lead them down a path that looked like it wasn’t used very often. After a few minutes of walking, they came to the base of a huge mellorn tree. Haldir walked up to one of the giant roots, and pressed lightly against it. A door opened and at Legolas’ curious face, he grinned. “This isn’t one of the most widely known areas to bathe, so let’s keep it that way.” He put a finger to his lips and winked. Then Haldir walked into the door and disappeared into the darkness. Not wanting to be left behind, Legolas followed. The two elves walked down a set of stairs, slowly descending into the earth. Legolas could hear Haldir’s footsteps a few feet away from him and continued on. All around him was dark. There weren’t any lights and he couldn’t see a foot in front of his face. They reached the end of the stairs. He tried to find Haldir but couldn’t because of the blackness of the bathing area. Suddenly, a candle was lit and by the faint glow of the flame, he could see that he was in a large, stone, circular room with a large, steaming pool of water in the center. More candles were lit and Legolas looked around for Haldir, who was just extinguishing a match. Haldir walked over to a stone bench and set his clothes there, then turned around and grabbed a few towels from a rack made of wood. He strode over to Legolas and handed him one, then started to undress. Legolas stood there, staring stupidly as the other elf pealed off his clothing. He then realized with a jolt that he was being rude and averted his eyes, starting on his tunic. He didn’t look up until he was starting to remove his leggings when he heard a splash, and saw Haldir’s golden head disappear beneath the water. He came up after a few moments and a fountain of water spurted from his mouth. Legolas stared at the elf again, a slight smile tugging at the corners of his mouth, and Haldir grinned at him. “Come on in princeling! The water’s fine!” Legolas snapped out of it, smiled and shook his head. “You are impossible Haldir.” Haldir just smirked and Legolas was suddenly conscious of the fact that he was still dressed. He blushed and slowly pulled down his leggings. He shot a quick glance at Haldir, but that just showed him floating on his back in the large bath. He stepped out of his pants and walked cautiously to the tub, gingerly placing a foot in the water to test the heat. A splash hit him and he teetered forward and fell into the warm water. He came up sputtering and glared at Haldir who laughed and tried to swim away. Legolas splashed him back and waded over to a submerged seat. He sat and leaned back against the stone sides, arms draped on them, and eyes closed Haldir smiled evilly and made a move to get the prince even more wet when Legolas opened one eye and glared at him. “Don’t even think about it.” Haldir sighed and sat on the underwater seat next to Legolas, and leaned back. They sat there for a long while, just enjoying the silence and (as much as he was shocked to admit it) Legolas was enjoying the close proximity of Haldir. He shook his head at this thought. I shouldn’t be thinking this… after what happened- Legolas shuddered as the memories came rushing back to him. //The feel of the other elf inside of him… his cries of pain… the elf pulling out of him after he spent himself-// Legolas winced at the painful thoughts. It was only my mind that got violated… It’s not like it was a real rape… While he thought this, his eyes filled with tears again before he turned his head away so Haldir wouldn’t see he was crying. Then why does it hurt so much? //Himself screaming at the elf to stop…// This time, he couldn’t stop the tremor that passed through his body, nor the tears that escaped his eyes and ran down his cheeks. Haldir looked over at the prince and saw the wet, salt droplets. He frowned and scooted over to him, wrapping his arms around Legolas in a comforting embrace; Holding him until his crying ceased. Legolas’ entire body wracked with sobs as he let out all his bottled up emotion while in the guardian’s arms. There was something comforting about them… Haldir made soothing noises until Legolas steadied his breathing and leaned fully against him. He closed his eyes and sighed softly. Haldir was cooing something in his ear and he relaxed more into the guardian’s chest, inhaling the steam that was being let off from the bath. He felt so wonderful, just sitting in the bath, Haldir’s strong, protective arms wrapped around him, the other elf breathing next to his ear. He could’ve stayed that way forever. He snuggled in closer until his head was resting in the crook of Haldir’s neck. Funny. He thought. This feels so right… but why? All he could see was the mist of the water vapor, a few strands of Haldir’s platinum blond hair and a lot of skin. Haldir’s skin. The skin of his neck to be precise. Legolas breathed in deeply. He smelled nice. Like fresh spring rain and ripe berries. And out of the blue, he had this great impulse to see if he tasted that way too. Legolas’ tongue stuck out of his mouth and lapped at the skin of Haldir’s neck. The latter jumped suddenly and stared down at the prince with shock and something less discernable… was that lust? Legolas blinked and unconsciously licked his lips. What do you know… he does taste like berries.^ They stayed that way for a time, just looking into each other’s eyes, searching for something but neither knew what. Finally, Legolas made the first move, leaning in close to Haldir’s face, so that their noses were touching. Haldir parted his lips and that was all that Legolas needed. He closed in and brushed their lips together in a light, chaste kiss and was just about to move away when Haldir brought his hands up and tugged them together tightly, making the kiss change from experimental to passionate. Legolas widened his eyes, surprised at the aggressiveness of Haldir, but soon closed them again and licked at the guardian’s lips, asking permission to enter. Haldir acquiesced and Legolas’s tongue probed the inside of his mouth, then sucked the guardian’s tongue into his own. Haldir gasped into the other elf’s mouth and groaned. I really shouldn’t be doing this, he thought. Legolas was traumatized and he was just taking advantage of him by doing this. But the princeling was just so intoxicating. And that thing that he was doing with his tongue. Haldir moaned and tried to get into better contact with that lovely body that was pressing against him. Legolas straddled the other elf’s hips, trying to crawl inside him… Yes. That’d be nice. Their arousals brushed against each other, eliciting a moan from both. Legolas pried open Haldir’s mouth with his tongue and ravaged the hot cavern. He groaned. To be inside Haldir… He’d be safe from everything… At this thought, he tilted Haldir’s head back and deepened the kiss. After a few moments of this oral embrace, the need for oxygen overcame the need to feel each other’s mouths. They broke apart breathlessly and tried to regain some air. Haldir, now completely confused, stared at Legolas and those brilliantly blue eyes were shining back at him. “Legolas I-“ Legolas cut him off with a finger to his lips and a sad look. “Please Haldir. Do not speak.” “But-“ Legolas shook his head. “No. Don’t.” He looked at Haldir with pleading eyes. “I beg of you Haldir. Make me forget the Nightmare that I’ve lived through. If for only a few moments.” Haldir was struck with compassion and another stronger feeling for the elf sitting in his lap, peering at him desperately. He looked up and smiled, “I will do anything you ask.” Legolas hugged him and didn’t let go until Haldir pushed him back to stare him straight in the eyes. He leaned in slowly and brushed his lips against the prince’s with a feather-like touch. Legolas sighed and wrapped his arms around Haldir’s neck, drawing him closer, deepening the kiss, not as frenzied as their first, but more passionate. Haldir’s hands roamed over the plains of Legolas’ chest until he found a hardened nipple. He drew the nub between his fingers and lightly pinched it, drawing a gasp from the prince. He repeated the action with his other hand until the two buds were even harder than before. The two hands slid down; one finding a place at Legolas’ hip and the other cupping his buttocks. Legolas tensed when he felt fingers brushing over the entrance to his body. Haldir broke the long kiss and started nibbling on his ear, distracting him. After a short while, Legolas relaxed and Haldir gently pushed a single digit into the tight ring of flesh. Legolas gasped at the intrusion that caused a little pain, but moaned when the probing finger came in contact with his prostate. He arched, trying to make the digit do that thing that felt so amazing. Haldir chuckled and whispered into the Prince’s ear, “ready for a second?” Legolas nodded and Haldir proceeded to rub against his pleasure spot from the inside while stroking his erection. After stretching the prince’ opening for a while, he added a third finger. Legolas winced. It hurt. Haldir whispered some nonsensical words into the Prince’s ear and started tasting the side of Legolas’ neck, alternating small love bites with kisses to alleviate them. Haldir then removed the digits and Legolas felt sort of empty inside without them. The Guardian looked into Legolas’ eyes, silently asking the question, just to make sure he was ready for this. This was the point of no return. Legolas pointedly gazed at Haldir in return, one word escaping past his lips: “Please.” Haldir needed no more assurance and lifted the slighter elf above his lap, pressing the tip of his arousal against the prince’ opening. Legolas took a deep breath and smiled slightly. “I trust you,” came the whispered final confirmation. Haldir slowly guided Legolas down onto his erection, the tip just breaching past the tight ring of flesh. Legolas shut his eyes and bit his lip in pain. Haldir gave him a concerned look and stopped movement. Legolas pried his eyelids open half-mast and gasped “Don’t stop.” Haldir hesitatingly started to pull the prince down when Legolas closed his eyes once more and took Haldir into the hilt swiftly. The prince shuddered and his breathing turned harsh, coming now in labored gasps. He hadn’t felt so much pain in a long time… Haldir murmured soothing words to him, caressed his cheek ever so gently, and the prince finally relaxed, letting out a few choked sobs. Haldir started thrusting inside of Legolas when he realized that the elf was getting used to the feeling. He rotated his hips and tried to find that sweet spot from before. After searching for a second, Legolas yelped and Haldir grinned. There we go… Soon, Legolas found that the pain had disappeared, pleasure taking it’s place. He moaned and silently urged Haldir to move faster. Haldir was only too happy to comply as he quickened his pace and groaned into the prince’s shoulder. They moved together in silence, every so often a groan or whimper escaping Legolas’ mouth, while Haldir panted harshly. Haldir quickened his pace and his thrusts became more erratic, a sign of impending release. Legolas could feel the pressure building up inside of him like water building up at a dam, just waiting for the right moment to burst. With a cry, the dam broke, and Legolas shouted his release. The tightening of his muscles triggering Haldir’s, and he came with a loud groan, spilling his silver seed into the Prince. They floated there, panting, Haldir holding Legolas in his arms, with the Prince’s head lolling onto the Guardian’s shoulder as their hearts slowed from their fast pace. After a few minutes, Haldir pulled out of the Prince who was lying limp in his arms and glanced at his face. He was sleeping. Haldir sighed and gazed fondly at the exhausted little Princeling. Well, maybe not so little Princeling. He smiled and gathered the elf in his arms up, stood, and stepped out of the steamy bath. TBC… A/N: Well, that’s the third chappie… @_@ Ye gads, that took a long time. Um… I regret to inform you all that I won’t be writing anymore lemons for a while after the next one, which is in an upcoming fic. I just don’t think I’m cut out for it. ^^; Don’t worry though, things’ll still get steamy, which’ll earn the NC-17 rating, just not explicit. Notes: 1. Yes, Hal uses a special lotion that I had made for him. ^_^ *Really BAD impression of Sean Bean* Tastes like… Strawberries… *feral smile*
