This was amazing! It's perfect in itself, but ooh, please do expand! I love how vividly visual it is and how the POV switches from the first to the second stanza and how it feels musical. Lovely, lovely work.

Expanding it would need more world-building than I can manage at the moment, but I think it's a very interesting period, worth exploring!
